Henrik Ramsay, long-time member of the Finnish-British Society, and our good friend died in hospital on 13th of January, in the presence of his daughter. The funeral took place in the Old Chapel of Hietaniemi on Saturday, 14th of February.
Henrik joined the Finn-Brits in 1968, and was elected into the Council the same year. He worked as the Honorary Treasurer of the Helsinki Finnish-British Society for many years. He was active in planning trips to the UK and took part in different activities. When the Federation of the Finnish-British Societies was founded, Henrik continued there as an active board member and a treasurer. His contribution to the Federation was considerable, and he was always eagerly planning new summer trips, and loved to take part in them.
Henrik had many, many friends among the Finn-Brits. He was a loyal and trusted friend, always there, always ready to help with everything. We will remember our friend Henrik with love and affection.
